News :
Finally summer is here and we have a busy calendar in the months ahead, with new evening shows, as well as all our usual weekend events.
The next evening dressage is on Thursday 15th July, there will be three classes: walk & trot, prelim & novice. The walk & trot test is ideal for novice horses, ponies, children and adults. In addition to the British Dressage Intro A & B tests we have also written our own LKF Intro 1 test, for a copy of this please click here. The schedule can be found on the what’s on page.
Our evening showjumping takes place on a Friday and alternates between ‘mini’ and intermediate; both shows are always held in our indoor arena.
Mini starts at 4.30pm and has 3 classes, 20cm, 30cm & 40cm; ideal for lead-reins, children just coming off lead-rein and adults with young horses just starting out.
The intermediate competitions start at 5pm and have 4 classes, 40cm, 50cm, 60cm and 70cm. Open to juniors and seniors on either ponies or horses.
Our new Derby Bank was in use for the first time on Saturday 3rd July for our Eventer Trial and will continue to be a feature in further competitions, the next taking place on 22nd August.
The next stage in our development is due to start in the next few months, flood-lights will be going up around the outdoor arena for use when the light fades early in the winter months.
The new viewing gallery will also be in place in time for the winter season.
Our large summer qualifying showing show on Sunday 30th May, with qualifiers for BSPS, Ponies(UK), Veteran Horse Society, CHAPS, Equifest & Royal London was a huge success, with over 150 competitors! Preparations are already underway for next summer’s show.
We will also be holding a winter qualifying show in September/October; details to be released soon.
Don’t forget the arena and jumps are available for hire by individuals or groups on all non-competition days.
